John Herbert visits the FITT headquarters: a dialogue on sustainability, innovation and the future

During his stay in Italy, John Herbert, Secretary General of EDRA/GHIN and a figure renowned for his forward-looking approach to sustainability issues, visited the FITT headquarters in Sandrigo to discuss the Scope 3 Make it Zero initiative.

The international association European DIY Retail Association/Global Home Improvement Network is a global network that over the years has become a benchmark for the sector of reference thanks to its ability to adapt and continually update to market developments.

Today EDRA/GHIN comprises 230 companies in the DIY and home improvement sector, spread over 78 countries and with a total of 35,000 sales outlets. With its global Scope 3 Make it Zero project, the association is committed to supporting the decarbonisation of the DIY sector, with the aim of fostering an increasingly innovative working approach.

An important opportunity for exchanging ideas, during which FITT shared its sustainability strategy, The Responsible Flow 2030, also discussing the milestones achieved through a journey focused on the continuous improvement of the profile and performance of the company.

John Herbert acknowledged FITT’s commitment, stating that he has rarely encountered a business so genuinely dedicated and advanced in sustainability matters.

The meeting with John Herbert confirmed that the actions taken by FITT are tangible examples of commitment to sustainability and a driving force for the continuation of the journey started in 2019.
