FITT has received the Gold EcoVadis Medal. This achievement places FITT among the best companies rated by the international rating agency.
EcoVadis is the world’s first and largest platform for sharing information on sustainability performance in the supply chain. It is based on major international standards, such as the Global Reporting Index (GRI), the 10 principles of the Global Compact and the ISO 26000 standard, and investigates four corporate areas: environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
For FITT, sustainability is a pillar of the Group’s Vision and plays a central role in the strategy of the company and its future choices.
Guided by the principle of interdependence, sustainability becomes for FITT a shared commitment, both towards internal players, such as company personnel, and external contacts, such as partners and suppliers.
It’s only through virtuous collaborations with all stakeholders throughout the whole of the value chain, from the supply chain to the wider society, that a development model compatible with safeguarding the ecosystem from an environmental, social and economic perspective can be generated.
The rating assigned by EcoVadis allows companies to compare and choose the suppliers of the sector that are more aware of sustainability issues and that meet their needs, therefore creating increasingly sustainable and competitive value chains.
